There was just a submenu you could access from there with all your skills. Haven't looked closely at that menu in inquisition since I haven't needed it (and I'm at work right now), but pretty sure that was the case for past dragon age games, have you looked there maybe? – gnomed Dec 2 '14 at 17:21. The best Mage armor is the Superior Battlemage Armor upgraded with Battlemage Armor Arms and Battlemage Armor Legs. For materials, you want to use Silken Nether Cloth/Avvar Twill/Dragon Webbing and Imbued Tusket Hide and Veil Quartz. Which of the 3 cloths you choose doesn’t matter, they have the same stat bonus in terms of Attack.
For your Masterwork, use a Fade-Touched Ring Velvet to stack your mana reduction up to 17.5%.

The Ring of Doubt makes your Mage automatically go into stealth when not attacking and automatically crit from stealth with a 20% flanking damage bonus. It’s a significant damage increase.

Dragon Age Inquisition Focus Abilities Guide and Tips
The Dragon Age Inquisition Focus in the game is resource that is replenishable and carry on their unique focus meter. Focus has a few abilities, one of them is that it used to initiate powerful focus abilities, like the Inquisitor’s Mark of the Rift. These powerful abilities aren’t available until after the Inquisition evacuates Haven.
The Second focus abilities are tied to class specializations. Each party member unlocks a specialization upon reaching Skyhold, and the Inquisitor can choose a specialization by completing trainer quests.
Focus abilities come in 3 tiers with the use of tier 1 and you can then unlock the other 2 tiers in the game after you evacuate haven.
Tips on how to use Focus abilities: Use the abilities in tough fights such as dragons, boss fights. Learn how to manage your focus as you advance in the game.
